Dr Mariasoosai graduated from Newcastle University in 2008. He performed two years of postgraduate training in the Hunter before undertaking Basic and Advanced Physician’s training in Melbourne.
He completed his specialist training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in 2017 at the Austin Hospital and Victoria Respiratory Support Service, with exposure to complex ventilation in neuromuscular disease.
Dr Mariasoosai is currently appointed at the Calvary Mater as a staff specialist in General Medicine, whilst also providing a Respiratory consult service, and participating in the Lung Oncology clinics.
Dr Mariasoosai has clinical interests in the management of both Respiratory and Sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnoea, snoring, excessive tiredness, airways disease, lung masses, and pleural disease.
Dr Mariasoosai has an interest in GP education and is happy to discuss the following topics ‘update on asthma therapy’, ‘new antifibrotics in pulmonary fibrosis’ and ‘what’s new in COPD’.
