The major development of Lake Macquarie Private Hospital will provide a wide range of service and facility enhancements, some of which include an additional:

• 4 new Operating Theatres, increasing the hospital’s capacity to 12 theatres.
• 6 emergency department bays / short stay emergency beds
• 6-day oncology chairs
• 2 new wards of 20 beds each
• Commencing private room strategy

The redevelopment will also include compliance upgrades to meet current National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and Australasian Health Facility Guidelines, including:

• A new hub and spoke central sterilising unit servicing the regional network.
• The relocation of the medical imaging onsite, which is currently housed in the medical centre opposite the hospital
