Dr James O'Sullivan has been in private practice in Lambton for over 20 years. He is an experienced and progrssive surgeon specialising in foot and ankle treatments and surgery.
Dr O'Sullivan graduated from Sydney University in 1989. He did his basic medical training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He then went on to complete his orthopaedic training through Royal Newcastle Hospital in 1997. Following this, Dr O'Sullivan and his family travelled to Dublin Ireland, where he completed Fellowships in paediatric orthopaedics as well as orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery.
Dr O'Sullivan was Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon on call for trauma at John Hunter Hospital for 10 years until 2008. He now consults in both the public and private sector in Newcastle. He travels to conferences, participating in continuing surgical education both nationally and internationally each year.
Currently, Dr O'Sullivan is expanding the indications for minimally invasive surgery of the forefoot. For the last 3 years he has been involved in post graduate education with medical students, training registrars and more recently a foot and ankle fellow.
