The date of your likely discharge will be discussed with you prior to your admission. When leaving the hospital please ensure that you collect all your current medications, Xrays and your personal belongings.

For your continued wellbeing please arrange for someone to accompany you home and be with you for the following 24 hours.

Private Health Insurance
Please contact your Private Health Fund to con?rm your level of cover and whether you have an excess or co-payment on your policy. In the event that you do have an excess or co-payment, these will be payable at the time of your admission.

You may receive separate accounts from:

Doctors involved in your hospital care such as surgeons and anaesthetists
Pathologists
Radiologists
Pharmacist

Self Insured Patients
Privately paying patients will be required to pay the estimated cost of hospitalisation on admission.

Veterans And War Widows
Eligible veteran’s and war widow’s accounts are forwarded to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs for payment.

Work Cover And Third Party Patients
Patients should supply insurer details and claim numbers prior to admission.

Acceptance of liability must be ascertained prior to admission.
