  As a celebration of life, the hospital hosted a “picnic with as heart “, former cardiac surgical patients from 1994 and their guests were invited to come along and join staff for a complimentary day of enjoyment and reunion. 380 people attended and thoroughly enjoyed the company, food, drinks and jazz band.

• AUSTRALIAN FIRST FOR A PRIVATE HOSPITAL

  Lake Macquarie Private Hospital became the first Private Hospital in Australia to reconstruct a temporomandibular joint (jaw) using a custom made prosthesis. The surgery was performed by American Professor Louis Mercuri, pioneer of the jaw prosthesis and one of the most eminent jaw joint surgeons in the United States.

• VASCULAR INTERVENTIONS CONFERENCE 2007 – INAUGURAL MEETING OF THE NSW VASCULAR SURGEONS ASSOCIATION HELD UNDER THE AUSPICES OF LMPH

  Interventional procedures were transmitted live from LMPH vascular unit to the conference venue held at the Crown Plaza Newcastle.
